This Half Pint is some of the best weed I have smoked this year. The combination of Horchata and Runtz is one that belongs on the list of “Legendary Combinations” along with peanut butter and jelly, the cinnamon roll and mac and cheese. It wasn’t like I was expecting anything less than fire when I snagged this strain but man oh man did this strain exceed my expectations. In my opinion, almost everything about this strain was perfect. Sooo let’s talk about this legendary strain bred by the Wyeast family.

Presentation

It seems like for the short amount of time I have been smoking them, Sonoran Roots has definitely improved the presentation of their buds. Like everything else I have recently bought from them, this Half Pint was loaded with trichomes. The buds had beautiful form and were extremely fresh. Almost too fresh if you ask me which made it extremely tough to break down. I would imagine that if I would have used a grinder it would have just clumped up and got caught up in the grinder. Besides that, I did not see anything wrong with this batch. I would give it a 4.7 in the presentation and freshness category.

Smell and Freshness

The smell was already jumping out of the tube before I opened it. The moment I did however, I was smack and I mean SMACKED by the smell of Runtz. Not just the fruity Runtz, no these were the fruity and gassy Runtz like Grow Sciences put out on their most recent drop. The sweet and sour smell of sugar and gas made my soul tingle. There were smooth and creamy, almost Minntz like notes in there as well. All of this was before I even had the chance to break it down. Once I did, all those scents came exploding from the buds and were one hundred times stronger than what they originally were. There was absolutely no doubt that I was giving this a 5 in the smell category.

Flavor and High

Flavor wise, I was mainly getting the sweetness from the Runtz. Every now and then, I would get little hints of gas and some cream. However, the flavor mainly consisted of those fruit candy terps. The high was definitely the cherry on top. For a moment, I found myself drifting off into my deepest thoughts. Once I was able to real it back in, I decided to go and attempt to get some work done which I failed at. The moment I sat down, it was lights out. I had one of the greatest naps of 2021 and when I woke up I could still taste the Half Pint in my mouth. A for sure, 5 in the flavor and high categories.

With all the score combined, this strain definitely has earned its Gas Pass. I could not agree more, this strain was fantastic. In fact, it was so good that I went back and got it at least four times. Never in the history of the Gas Pass have I gone and grabbed the same strain from the same batch more than twice. To do it four times however, should really tell you something about this strain and the way Sonoran Roots knocked it out of the park.
