I do not know what it was that gravitated me towards this strain more. Was it the fact that it had the name MAC in it or, my curiosity on what the actual lineage was? Either way, whatever it was I must say that I am truly glad I got the opportunity to try another MAC cross. This strain proves to me time and time again why it is one of my all time favorites. Not only is it more than amazing on its own however, when it is crossed with another strain like Slurricane its pure magic. Sooo, let’s talk about this MAC Flurry that Sonoran Roots whipped up for us.

Looks and Presentation

After analyzing the buds, there was no doubt in my mind that this was for sure a MAC cross. It looked exactly like MAC. Extremely dense buds glazed in trichomes with amazing clarity. The amount of trichomes and the clarity alone were mind blowing to say the least. The colors on the buds were captivating as well. The greens were dark and almost impossible to see below the sea of trichomes. There were some shades of purples and a lot of copper colored hairs. I can say that this strain is by far one of the prettiest to come across the Gas Pass. It is for sure worthy of 5 in the looks and presentation category.

Smell and Freshness

Not only did this strain have the physical features of MAC, it had all the smells of MAC with a touch of Slurricane. As the buds lie in the plastic tubing I could pick up the sweet grape like notes that you mostly get from MAC. As I broke them down, the sweet smell of sugarcane flooded the air. I had no doubt that what I was now smelling was the Slurricane. This combination was one of the best I have smelled and I do not think I could ever forget it. It was easy to give this strain a 5 in the smell and freshness category.

That MAC Flurry though.

Flavor

When I first sparked the blunt, I was mainly getting a lot of pine. I was definitely not expecting this seeing as I didn’t notice any pine smell wise. As the blunt progressed, the flavor switched from piney to sweet and creamy. It was a lot like Slurricane with a touch of MAC and still had the mouth watering effects I get from MAC. Although, the flavor was mouth watering, it wasn’t as strong as I was hoping. I expected the flavor to stain my tastebuds long after the blunt was done. However, that was not the case. I could fairly say that the flavor was only deserving of a 4.

High

The high was a creeper to say the least. In fact, it was so much of a creeper it had me worried from the gate. For a MAC cross, I was expecting an instant lung rattler. I was expecting this strain to obliterate my lungs and send me into a coughing frenzy. That was not the case, instead the smoke was smooth, too smooth and left me asking if that was all. After exceeding the 2/3 mark, I realized just how good the it was. I honestly would not consider it premium tier but I will say it was worth the penny. A good cerebral high that left my body feeling as if I was in the pool. All my pains were blown away with the smoke and my mind was at ease. I would give the high a 4 out of 5 for sure.

As you can see, it was a nice experience all around. I truly enjoyed my time with this MAC Flurry and am grateful for the opportunity to add this to my list. More over, I blessed to be able to try a couple of my favorite strains crossed properly. I am curious to hear what you think about the MAC Flurry if you’ve had the chance to try.
